Well I dont have much hope left for my chicks. No one seems to know where they are. Called and went into my local office. I dont understand how no one has scanned them in 36 hours. And supposedly no one even knows where they are.

So is eight hours not too long then? 

I had power out for 14 hours once and didn't even realize so I didn't do anything to help. Had a great hatch that time. In the closet they should do even better.

Wow there have been a lot of posts this week on lost, missing, misdirected, and late deliveries on chicks, chickens and eggs. This is utterly ridiculous!

I think so! The hens were all cool and collected. The cockerel says "I'm getting the heck out of here!"

Chicken morse code - peck.peck peck.scratch peck peck.peck.peck mean "hey you in the cell next to me, I got and escape plan all worked out".

Hee! Yeah, it's always the boys... why is that?

And actually, if you've got a sturdy 'bator it's pretty amazing how long they'll hold heat for. MEGA fingers crossed for you!!!
