In case anyone has birds that went through Kansas City Missouri this morning, I'm sorry but it's more than likely you won't get them on time. A mailplane slid completely off the runway this morning because some brainless poo didn't clear the ice first (they have people there that are hired to do that)...this particular one was not cleared on schedule. Soooo when the plane went down the runway it caught on the ice and slid away. Packages slid off shelves, Packages broke open. Packages were completely crushed. It was a Fed-Ex flight (USPS does not have their own planes). Anyhooo...any birds on the flight were fine...there's a separate compartment for live critters, but they will be late due to the amount of time it took them to get everything back in order. I'm sorry ='(

I neglected to mention; this was a Fed-Ex, not a commercial plane (both handle our packages by the way, the USPS doesn't). and, it happens at least once a week in random cities throughout the US during winter months.

...you'd think they would hire new ice remover people.

Is it ALWAYS a bad thing to have "hatchery stock"? Are there hatcheries that anyone would recommend? I have people ask me but other than Mt. Healthy I do not know any....

I have a few chicks from Meyer Hatchery...they are all doing well. They are doing even better after I started fermenting feed...they grew some and defiantly have some more meat on them.
