ok so I have been up since about 4am. It will take awhile to get out of the vampire mode. Also, it could be that it is because I am going to pick up some chicks from Jordan Farms today??? I am like a little kid, I guess.

Congrats. It could be dangerous living so close to a farm with really nice birds.

Oh... anyone know of a good source for a dial-type hygrometer that isn't crazy expensive?? Not so sure about the ones posted on ebay right now....

Find a local cigar shop and buy one that they sell. They are far better then many you will find and a huge price range too (and can be calibrated too)

I haven't read through the rest of the thread, so I don't know if this has been cleared up.  I've been a payroll manager in a government office for the last 30 years.  The value of the premium, based on age over 50K per year is considered taxable income.  However, it doesn't usually amount to much.  For my employees, only the dept. heads get over 50k, they get 60K.  Some people, it amounts to increasing their income by a few dollars, the highest I have is $127.40.  This is for my two people 70+ years old.  Keep in mind, this is not tax, but taxable income.  It probably only increase their tax around $10-20.

For it to cost you $400, you would have to get multi-million dollar coverage or it would have to be VERY high and you VERY old, LOL.

Than you I learned something. When did that go into effect? The last time I worked for the government was 2006. I don't remember paying on my insurance but then the actual earned income was always more for other reasons too so guess I didn't notice the insurance part.

For those I owe Legbar eggs to, I'm working on it. The girls have stopped laying and I found out why. Their timer for their light wasn't working correctly. So it has been fixed but I'm not sure how long it will take them to get laying again. If you asked for a particular date, I will let you know whether I can meet that date. If you wish to switch to another breed instead just let me know but please note, all other breeds are for Spring/Summer shipping.

only if I put a blanket on the seat 1 st. And only in a chicken emergency. I would say lumber is the strangest thing we have put in it and only a few 2x4's

Ok DH is NOT much of a nurse I just asked him for some pain medicine and he tossed it toward me. I said where is it ? He said right on the floor by your IV pole. And started laughing because it did sound pretty funny.

Me too, I was trying to figure if GFF allows local business though... Can't find any address or info on the website that would allow me to pick up, say, hatching eggs... I think I would totally be willing to pick up a breeding pair or trio if I didn't have to pay for shipping. I would also love to go just to gawk at the place!!
