WOW it is going to be in the 40's here all week.... nearly 50 one day. Super excited it is NOT going to rain for a week

Yesterday I had to catch some pullets I was selling and I was COVERED in MUD (lets just call it that anyway

) I needed a bath and new clothes

) Maybe I can do some MORE pen cleaning today..

Sahwithchicks is coming over, I gotta go unlock the gate. I went to go get the 4wheeler out, and there are about 20 wild turkeys in my back yard. Guess I will take the car, I don't want to scare them off. So pretty!!

I love that we have turkeys..... They just roam all over. We don't see them out front as much (probably because there is too much traffic now ), but they are still here. Deer have kind of thinned down too, we don't see them nearly as much either.

20! I've had a few wild hens come visit my Bourbon Red tom, Bob, but I've never seen 20 at once, ever! I agree, get the camera!

I have a question for everyone that makes soap. Why goats milk? Does it have 'special' properties?

I used it because I had dairy goats, but since it's naturally homogenized, I always got better results using it than cow milk. Still, you can make soap with water, any milk, cream, etc. I've even seen soap made with orange juice! You just have to check the soponification rate of your fluid versus your fats and add the correct amount of lye.
