I will say their eggs are great!! I have tons of babies running around right now that hatched from eggs I got from them. I would say over 75% development rate and over 90% hatch rate!

Every one of the chocolate wyandotte eggs I put into lockdown hatched!

Yup, quite a bit too soon. Give them until Day 10. I sometimes wait until I am either adding eggs or removing eggs to candle. If it's a long time period I will open the incubator a crack to give it a good sniff to make sure there is nothing rotten going on. Otherwise I try to wait until lockdown to candle.

Yeah, I've finally drilled it into my head there's really no point before that. Unless I need the room I'm not taking anything out before day 18 anyway, even if it clearly isn't developing. I could always be wrong!

I will probably go back to eggs when I get a good incubator. Hopefully soon, fingers crossed.

I candle every 7 days... Duds come out new ones go in very 7 days for 4 months.

What do you guys think about the hovabator genesis 1588 with the digital thermostat and hydrog#&%&$ (I forget how to spell it)?

I have figured out that broodies don't always stay broody and I NEED an incubator of my own. borrowing my friends right now...just lucky it was empty! i'd have been screwed if it had been full!
