Why I don't understand is why you wouldn't just fix the problem. Surely it's easier to do it properly than to have to do it multiple times and refund people. Or not refund people as it seems in some cases. It's just such an easy fix! I just don't get it

received PP from Thespoiledchicken can someone please clear to swap again?????

I've talked to a bunch of people and found out where they are. I'm driving up there right now! Wish me luck because they're the only ones not answering the phone :/

Yay again.............I was trying to catch up on this thread, then I was going to ask. What color? After the first batch (six chicks, 4 of them SG and all paint), I hatched two more for the NYE hatch, both silkie, a buff and a partridge.

They probably ship that way because of the sheer volume of sales. Probably trying to avoid dozens of "I can't accept them that day" then having issues with the next week's buyers. Not that it's good for buyers, but just my guess.

Hatcheries can set of shipping schedules, they should be able to do the same. You have these high end birds, but not the capability or customer service to handle your business? It might take awhile, but no matter what "rare" birds you have. Your business will suffer for it.

I have a question..... I have some chicks hatching now (SFH) that were given to me and she also gave me some Rhodebar pullet chicks. I thought I would grow them out and breed them, but now I am having second thoughts. These are not TOPS on my list of wants but the biggest reason is I don't want to compete with her. She is a county away, I think she knew it was possible I would breed them, but still..... Should I just pursue the other breeds I want and sell these chicks? Or what????? If I keep them I will need to build 6 more breeding pens or at least some growout pens.... well maybe both.

(BTW I Have 15 pens now and lots of growouts and smaller breeding pens inside too, I really do have about 300+ birds with the chicks)

Sorry, had to skip to the end.... lots of chatter today!! love it!!
I'm pretty sad tonite, because it's looking like I have a 1/48 hatch rate, and the one had bad cross beak and was missing an eye, so we culled it today...

part of me feels like throwing in the towel, but the smarter part of me says "don't give up!!"

DM.... sounds like you NEED more breeding pens and chickens, because, if chicken math is done correctly, anything that is not actually laying is not counted in your chicken count... so if you only count your laying HENS and useful roos, I'm sure you have FAR less than 300 chickens, lol

I got them!!!!!!!!! Well Jenny must have been listening to some feeback because they're in superb condition! The packing looks pretty rad to e honest but to be fair they're feathered out. These are definitely young juveniles. Ill take pictures and post them when I get home!!!!!!!!!!! :weee
