Second pullet has a little mousture around a nostril. Going to pick up my temp brooder and some Tylan. If anybody has advice on whether I should dose everyone or just those that look a little unwell I'd GREATLY appreciate it! Also any recommends on supplements or meds.

Done everything, and i would add ACV to the drinking water and add a second water with electrolytes too. System boost after shipping stress.





We only use equine pine pellet style horse stall bedding everywhere. The brooder house gets emptied 3-4 times a year maybe with dozens of babies going through it. The goose stalls get fluffed daily and cleaned 2x a year. Some new added to keep it deep enough, otherwise a good turning daily keeps it all fresh.

Try the equine fresh in one coop as a trial.  I think you will be amazed at the difference.  It just smells like fresh cut lumber.  If there is any odor through in a couple handfuls of new pine pellets on top and let your chickens work it over. 

I'm going to look up the equine fresh. Any idea what it is?

ok then definitely going to try it! they are pellets? do they absorb moisture or something? Im telling yah, My birds must poop 10x more than others with the amount of cleaning I do! haha

My cornish x were free-ranged from day three. They took a week or two before they ventured very far, but in all honesty, the free range helped immensely. They've now been locked up for about a week, and the only real mess is from the dumb ducks playing in the water. G has been after me to get rid of the ducks, but when sales start and we get to eat the males, he'll understand why I put up with them!

Do you wet the pellets when you first put them down?

Thanks Celtic. I have raw acv in their water and probiotics vitamin supplement as well. Our feed store was out of Tylan but ha another similar antibiotic. Ill post it when I get home.

Yes. They have a couple of different brands. Just get whatever is cheapest.

pellets are AMAZING .. put them in dry and whole, as they make messes they absorb the water and start fluffing up. They smell good all the time too
