O.K. my internet seems to be behaving itself tonight, so I'm going to try to catch up on some posts and PMs. I've tried posting this weekend, only to give up on many of them after 3 or 4 tries.

AyeUpChuck - I hope you get good results back on your Bresse chickens so the rest of your flock is not in jeopardy. Has Greenfire at least offered to refund or replace them?

crfarm - So sorry about your mare.

It is very hard to let go of a loved member of the family like that, even when it is for the best. We lost out Black Lab this summer to bone cancer.

He was such a teddy bear, but a fierce defender of his family. We miss him very much.

Bettacreek - So sorry to hear about your incubator!

But it is good news about G's job. Wishing you the best in your move.

I got my SFH eggs from Beth on Wed. Unfortunately, the PO did a number on the aircells - 6/8 completely blown.

But, my last hatch I did get one to hatch that came with a blown aircell, so I let them sit and set them this afternoon and we will see.

Of course, it didn't help, I'm sure, that the postman was "nice" enough to deliver them, even though they were sent to my PO Box

I noticed from the pictures today that aceschix has some very nice blue eggs. I need to get some of those for the preschool teacher to hatch. I want to give her a nice rainbow of eggs, at least to show her students. I'll just leave her the easier ones to hatch (no Marans, etc.) so her kids aren't disappointed. Who else should I be stalking for some really blue eggs?
