I have 2 frizzle hens in with a smooth hen and smooth rooster. 50% 50%. Or 60/40 chance.

I also had to put the spare frizzle roo in my BBS pen. But there is a dominant roo and 12 hens in there

Can you post a pic? If the feathers come in frizz chances are it is a frizzle.

I will let her feather out a little more. I couldn't be more excited of the prospect. Also, I MOST definitely need some cochin eggs from you now!!!!!!!!

I took these pics just for you. This is from my gold laced cochin hen. She is in with the gold laced roo, but also with the Tolbunt polish roo, so wasn't sure. I have a few more of these eggs that fell into my incubator. It doesn't look like either one, but it is a cochin. Who knows. But it is cute!

We have the same problem, eggs just falling in our incubator

Awww! The color is throwing me off. I have never hatched or seen gold laced chicks, but I assumed they would hatch with darker fluff! Very interesting! Are you planning on keeping them, and see how they grow out? I would be interested to see them in a few months!

they should be darker. so I dunno. But at the time this one and the other eggs went into the bator the only roos were the gold laced cochin and tolbunt polish.... so not sure. But I had to see what would result.

Will keep you posted.

I found this picture of hatchery gold laced cochin chicks.

What color do tolbunt polish hatch out

Like mini tolbunts with cute little poof heads!

So who knows. It has some darker in it's feathers almost like what a wheaten AM looks like. You never know. I will take a pic week by week. I was thinking since the hen was so much smaller than the roo and the eggs are more bantam size, that it would be more bantam in size. Nope. I had to search amongst all the LC chicks to find the yellow with the feathery feet.
And no, those are not LC from my lazy chickens.
