Oh goodness, with all those multiquotes, I forgot to post my chick pic!!



This is a bantam cochin pullet that went broody a few days after I set these GNH eggs from Pauletta... the ones under her were clear, so when I put these in lockdown, I put one under her and the other 2 in the bator (she's a first-timer, so I didn't want to put them all under her)... They hatched Tuesday night and last night... I was easily able to give the other 2 chicks to her last night, and they're a big happy family in a box in the basement now=) Sooo glad I had a better hatch this time!!! My boys named her "Sweetie" after seeing how cute she is with those chicks

Does anyone have a pic of a lav lav maran? I have hatched three...silver light color I have pics but didn't wanna post them...seems y'all don't post anything except pics of parent birds....I just hatched out 150 or so I have chicks in five bins in my dining room meaning guess where we DON'T eat? ack!

These are Lavender.... marans.... IDK... Looks more Orp. These are from Copper Marans too I think. The roo is showing birchen coloring in his hackles so either birchen or copper....maybe birchen since the cream is not there that would be the diluted copper. Lavender diluets reds too.

Friday is the third day and within the allowed time frame. USPS changed the rules recently and refunds are rarely given, and not for delayed shipping.

I always get a refund if my birds are not delivered when they are suppose to. I got a refund for the birds I shipped Monday and didn't show up by Tuesday when they were suppose to. They have to refund if you pay for express and it doesn't show up on time.

I talked to my shipping post office and they told me that it was guaranteed delivery by 3:00 PM today. I just needed to go to the main PO in the town because the shipping one couldn't do refunds. The money isn't the primary concern anyway. I'm just hoping the birds are in good shape/alive when they are delivered. It took the USPS from noon on Tuesday until 7:00 PM last night to get them 2 hours from the PO I delivered them to.

How old were they? I had 2 silkies and a CL roo take 2 days with no ill affect. They should be fine if they aren't chicks.
