oh wow Oh, I missed alot I bet DH's dad can tell us a bunch of ways to get stuff to grow. He is a 90 y.o 3rd generation farmer, DH is a 4th generation farmer, the whole, well most of the reason we moved from California to Indiana is to take care of mom and dad and be able to keep them living independently on the farm im the Spring Summer and Fall, in the Winter they Vacation at our house.lol and keep shoving dad up on that tractor every Spring and setting him loose in the fields

Well we pretty much blew it yesterday when we didn't go with mom the ER in the ambulance to the hospital yesterday. We thought she was "faking it" to get a vacation from taking care of dad. When we called the hospital at noon they said she was stable and not to rush down. By the time we mosyed on down to the ER after stopping to buy chicken food we get to the ER to find out she had a massive stroke.

they didn't even tell her DR they told him she was having trouble slurring her her speach. not that she was STILL having a stroke and he had to order blood thinners. She tried to tell us that in the ER that they had done NOTHING and that she was dying and needed heparin. We of course told her she was not dying and she would be fine, before we knew what happened. She us alive and about to communicate with us. That is the best thing that her DR said was "miracleous" and that she might recover fully.

wow so sorry but happy sounds like full recovery we will pray.

Lilwanis, don't apologize! The picture tutorials from you and -- ACK!!! Who posted their system earlier? My apologies, my brain's not working again -- anyway, they're great. It always helps me a ton to SEE how folks do things :)

Thank-you! I was wondering if anyone had read it

Good morning everyone!!!

REALLY!!! 4 degrees out at 7:40 when I went to give chickens water -- poor things! Actually, other than being thirsty because their water apparently flash-froze as soon as I put it out last night, they looked pretty sprightly and contented. They're getting four water changes today -- two will NOT cut it in this weather.

Wow, I feel like I'm back in NH :)

DH gave the go ahead on a new hatcher this weekend. So we have on order a 5 drawer version of the hatcher below. We can use it for incubating goose eggs and just hand turn them daily. I have turn the goose eggs now, so its not a big deal. These are made here in FL by a fellow BYC'r, info is below for anyone interested.

Oh, that's quite stunning, isn't it? Waaay outside my price range for now, but simply gorgeous. I LOVE it when people still actually make quality things by hand!

First best-seller, I'm getting one of these ;-)

Oh man. Oh, that's so scary, Rachael! Yay on her hopefully making a full recovery! (I'm sure she'll have a lot of incentive -- a good chance to tell you "I told you so!"

) I'm sending a big hug because I know that has got to have been rough.

They also said he would have been released earlier but because of my "hysterics" they where going to keep him longer. Exact words. I still get really angry about the whole thing. We went to my pediatrician the next day and he completely agreed with me, we even went to a neurologist to rule out seizures. It is possible that benedryl can cause dystonia, VERY rare since usually benedryl is used commonly to relieve dystonia. My pediatrician thought if he hasn't had benedryl in the drip as well, his reaction would have been a lot worst. He was convinced it was the zofran.

Every once in a while, you get some REALLY bad apples in the medical profession. Sah, I am so sorry! And glad your son's okay, and you're not in prison for homicide

Krafty- that is some swap! Chicks for a puppy!

Those 2 farms with the flight pens are quail farms.

Great tutorials on seed sprouting and fodder. I loved all the pics!

CPL that is so scary about your MIL.

SAH I would have been hysterical too!

Great incubator Celtic! So beautiful!

CPL, that sounds like a horrible experience. I hope all are recovering well.
