Adorable chicks. I have to sell some eggs too. My DH's one request when buying birds is that they pay for themselves eventually. The new birds really need to pay for themselves now. All in time I guess.

Super cute! Nice photos too. My photos are usually awful. What's the secret?

If I don't catch a swap, I'd love to buy some of your new line of CL eggs...

Those won't be until at least Summer. Once they grow out I'll take a look at them and I may get rid of my old CL flock and replace it with the new birds. They already have such big crests for being young.

I take 100, and delete all but two

Starting to work up a little website for my birds. Since Cedarcreek is my kennel name for my Aussies, figure it would work for my birds. Made up a generic logo to blanket across my snakes, dogs, and chickens. Opinions? Would rather change it now, than later!

Well, I'm definitely going to hatch out a few more of my dual-purpose utility crosses. My marans/rock girl has laid five eggs that I know of in the eight days since she started, in February with no extra lighting. They're still small but the last two are definitely bigger than the first three. I'm pleased so far

The crests are far bigger. We'll see what the color difference is when they are grown.

Good thinking. My problem is I never have help and it's hard to keep them safe and get good photos at the same time.. maybe I just need to get more creative!

I have noticed in the last month, my husband hasn't complained about my chickens... Why, you may ask, has someone -who has made it no secret that he hates my chicken addiction- decided to keep his month closed for a whole month of blessed respite from complaining? The answer is simple, because after selling eggs and chicks this month, I haven't asked him for any money for chicken food or supplies. :lol
I have BCM, my own birds, going into lock down tomorrow. I am excited to see the chicks and how they look. I also am planning o driving over to Kraftyladies tomorrow. It is very nice of her to have us over, my boys are a handful.
