He so cute out there with the main flock which consists of 3 basque hens, 2 LF amer, 1 bantam amer, 1 buff laced polish. I think that's it in my main flock. Well hello! Yes, those are the ones I'm stressing about. ;) Now your girls are gonna have to be patient for any romancing, although by the time the boys sit through a quarantine and then get to know everyone...maybe not so long a wait. I've been giving them electrolytes, vitamins and probiotics in preparation for the trip; I hope that helps. I have their box ready and I weighed them earlier. I was worried that they were going to exceed the weight limit, but they squeezed by with a few ounces to spare. :)

I thought so. They will be fine. As DH say's "we shove chickens in boxes and mail them" I'd rather think of it as placing the chickens in a shipping container and transporting them. ;)

Once they get here they will be quarantined in a cool room to help them adjust to the temps. Here. If it's still pretty cold out by the time they make it to the outside they will have a lighted heated coop. I think the am ladies are going to the farm and my friend is going to take the bantam fav. Roo and the bantam polish hen. So the basques may wind up as the "main" flock. I can't decide between them and the Isbars. Hmm or the legbars. Or maybe the Russian Orlaffs. :lol: looks like I need more pens or to re-arrange some things.

:lol::lol: I used to advise everyone to use a different name when they registered on RBA than they do on BYC when my 1st purchase was posted on BYC as soon as it ended. I was very embarrassed that I paid that much money for some chicks. I guess that's changed. Lol

Also wanted to double check on carriers for people! I have down just off the top of my head. madam, kyt, krafty, cpl, bm6, swindledana, sah and mrsmooncat? I think that's all of them. if it's not please pm me and the swap number so I can add it to may records. I've got the sign info it's the carriers that I want to get finished and sent first. Also let me know if you want it built or flat packed. I know BM6 said flat packed just let me know for any others. It will help me with shipping DRASTICALLY! Should be able to fit them into flat rate boxes. Will have to be snail if built. :oops:
