Okay, am I the only one who can not get shipped Polish eggs to hatch???? I had 6 Tolbunt Polish in lockdown and it looks like all but maybe 1 have quit. I've only managed to hatch one polish from who knows how many eggs. I swear, if you have Polish eggs coming this spring you might want to reconsider. I had no problems hatching my own.

I am going to beg CPL to hatch mine for me! I tried sultans and all died.

I have never hatched out any turkey eggs. How easy are they to hatch? Are t hey as hard as goose and duck eggs? We've tried hatching duck and geese but they never hatch, they form and all and try to peck out but end up dying before they hatch.
main thing I have found is from lockdown on you need to keep the humidity high. I try to keep mine at least 90% during lockdown. I always try to hatch a few chicks to put with the poults, the chicks help the poults find the food and water faster. Keep em warm and dry and they will do fine

I have 2 of Sonew's in lockdown now (due tomorrow.) When I candled on day 18 they were both very wiggly. I pray the same doesn't happen here.

That's where mine were from and yup, they were wiggling. Not anymore. I'm thinking polish is just one of those breeds that doesn't ship well.

Just had a customer call us and ask if we can use over ripe mangoes, papaya and greens past their prime. Our birds are going to be thrilled tomorrow when I come back home from picking it all up.

I went and bought a 120 lumen LED flashlight to try to get a better look in my eggs! It's awesome! Unfortunately, it tells me that the four turkey eggs scheduled to hatch on the 14th are all clears. Sigh. I'm not doing so hot on hatching. And I have to put down one of the two Buff Brahmas I got, as it's legs are so skewed. Bandaging them didn't seem to help. The second one has serious split wing. If it's a pullet, it'll go to the layer flock. If it's a roo, he'll be named Dog Food. And the single GNH I got from a dozen eggs didn't live 12 hours.

I'm jinxed.
