Careful what you ask for!!!!!!!!!!!
I know. I got what I asked for, just the wrong chocolates

Yes it clearly stated I needed the address. I explained that our desktop which is where I received the email wasn't working so I had no access to it. I asked him to resend his aunts address in the very next sentence from the PayPal request.

Why do we even bother, right?

BM6,
I just read about your shipping ordeal. Oh my!!! Some people!!! If you quarantine the one, the mites would be fairly easy to lick.
That is what I thought, too, one would be pretty simple to treat.
Not chickens, but if any of you are into crafts or flowers arranging..... I have LOADS (3 truck loads) of floral picks and bunch flowers. I don't have lots of colors but I do have some, red and pink mostly, blue and orange. I might have more if I could SEE all the boxes. I am willing to ship or swap.

Here is my CL ad if you want to look.

I need a large, clear vase like the one towards the front in the picture.

On second thought, why bother? I don't ever get flowers to put in them anyway-unless I buy them or grow them myself!

I got a question in the what would you do category.

I informed a customer that his eggs would be ready to ship yesterday or today and to go ahead and make the payment to PayPal. I also asked him to resend the shipping information as the previous email he had sent was no longer available to me due to computer problems.

I received the Paypal and no further communications. I sent the eggs today with the address that was included with the PayPal payment.

Now tonight he wants to know where I shipped the eggs to him or his aunt. Since the only address I had was his I told him that. He is very angry and wants to know what I'm going to do? I told him I would talk to the post office, but I didn't know that I could do much. I even resent the email to him that requested payment and shipping instructions.

What should I do, what can I do and what would you do?
I probably would have done the same thing. I take it they were supposed to go to his aunt. How far away does she live from him?

I would and will from now on, not send anything until a shipping address is verified, yes, he might have paid for them, and yes he might have been angry that you hadn't shipped yet, but it's better than letting eggs, or chicks sit in a PO not knowing if either will survive because people don't pay attention or read...

I just received delivery of one GORGEOUS Hedemora roo for Rachael! He is very sweet!

Wee-hah!!! I love the hedemoras

I had a chick die this weekend that was suddenly lethargic and curling his head in. Now I have another chick today that is weak and chirping...what is going on!
Oh, uck -- that kind of sounds like coccidosis.

Sorry you misunderstand, I did send the eggs. After I sent him the tracking number he sent me an email asking "so just to be clear you sent the eggs to my aunt and not me".

Which I thought was rather odd since I had asked him to send me her address and he didn't. I just assumed he had changed his mind. If he didn't read the email through am I responsible? This customer was supposed to have his wife pick up the eggs on Monday last week. When I didn't hear from them by late Monday afternoon I offered them to someone else. On Thursday that week he calls me and wants the eggs made available to his wife by 10am. I was not able to accommodate him and offered to mail the eggs as his wife would be heading back to their home. He said to let him know when the eggs were available which I did.

Heya all! Sorry for the huge multi-quote post, but it's the only way I had even a chance of catching up -- and I only went back to lunch time!
These are my only choices. All three are 5 mg ivermectin/mL
The white box is 19.99 for 10 - 550 lb doses
Yellow box is $29.99 for 40 - 550 lbs doses
And the black box is $39.99 for 10 - 550 doses

Obviously the yellow box is the best deal but I'd like to pay less out of pocket, and really when am I goin to need and use 22,000 pounds worth of treatment??
Just wondering if it was acceptable. I assume since it appears to be the same

This got answered, but yeah, it's all identical :)

They are wheaten ameraucanas. They are in with a cuckoo marans and a partridge rock from about the same hatch time. 6 ams went into lockdown, two came out, apparently none will survive. The way the one chicks neck went I felt like I should try some vitamin e but I've never had unexplained fatalities this late after hatch. They just flatten out and wither within hours.

superjif, I hatched out five yokohamas that turned out to be very delicate -- two expired within 15 minutes of being taken out of the incubator. I nipped the remaining three back in and let them live in there for their first three days. They are all now hale and hearty. Don't know if that's any help to you -- maybe just a suggestion for the future with delicate chicks?

Warning: I went from 1 incubator to 3 in about a month!!! It is crazy addictive and crazy fun.

My incubator now holds 82 eggs and I am CONSTANTLY running out of space! Been trying to make room for some homegrown eggs for the past six weeks and I keep having to put them off because the bator's full with purchased/shipped/gift eggs. Life is good

Hi guys!!

My goodness Maya is learning fast. Her whining has gone down quite a bit. She will whine some when she's put in her area but then stops after realizing she's not getting any attention that way. She has a new playmate. The lady down the road has a young standard poodle. Maya was bouncing all around playing with her. I'm teaching her to sit now and she isn't doing too bad with potty training.

Looks like I have chicks coming tomorrow. I found out the 2 chicks I thought were Blue Partridge Brahmas are actually blue Columbian Brahmas. So I have 2 more coming tomorrow along with some Black Bresse chicks and some SFH chicks for someone else. Not a bad week so far. I'm beat though. Thank goodness for 3 day weekends.

That's wonderful madamwlf! I'm glad she's settling in. And yay on the new chickies! I think the blue columbians are very handsome :)

What cuties! They look similar to some chicks I hatched last year.

This is what they looked like later

Aww! You did it wrong. Don't tell them til after they hatch and then only when they figure it out on their own, lol. G was quick on the turkeys. Only took him about five minutes before he asked, "are those turkeys or something?"

Okay, that hint definitely got missed... lol!

So I have 8 little barnevelder chicks bumbling around a tupperware on my coffee table. They are so friggin cute! it is so much fun to watch them learning how to do stuff. Amazing how fast they are ambulatory! I love the stage where they aren't afraid of you.

One is still in the incubator. Out of the shell but about 24hours after the others and not in the bumbling stage yet. More in the holy-crap-that-was-such-an-ordeal-and-i'm-so-tired phase. I hope he makes it. Not energetic at all. Just sleeping alot.

Whee! Congrats on the new chicks pysankygirl! For what it's worth, so far all my late bloomers have eventually caught up with their big brothers/sisters -- they just take a little longer. So here's hoping!

Chickens in the house!!!!!! LOLOL
With me the question is more like "Hmmm... what room doesn't have chickens in it yet?"

Ok my lowsey hatch has, turned out good 17 barred rocks 3 icelandics, 2 swedish flowers, 2 coros, 2 blrw but now my problem how do I tell Icelandics from my Sfh

Congrats TNBearchick! That's a lovely combination!

Quote: I understood that you had sent the eggs, I was just saying that I wouldn't send eggs without a verification of an address, if the shippee gets mad about it, oh well. Better than letting them sit God knows where and for God knows how long.
And IMO, n0, you aren't responsible for his failure to read properly and failure to pick up the eggs. I surely wouldn't do business with them anymore.
