My GFF chicks are lost yet again. They are probably burried under the 8+ inches of snow we've gotten since 7 am this morning. I give up. Every box of GFF chicks gets here late with high losses. The chicks were supposed to have shipped Tuesday but didn't get shipped until yesterday. I can't believe GFF didn't know about the impending storm. I'm snowed in. There is no way the PO is going to be able to deliver anything today. I guess I'm just not mean't to have fancy chickens.

I'm so sorry to hear that. As someone who's been through it with them more than once I know it can be super frustrating and sad when you finally get the box. I've had a little bit of luck putting warming some I thought I was going to loose up in an incubator. Good luck!

Start legal proceedings now please, please, please! Don't wait! He needs a clear message! Take care to protect yourself as well once you've done it, try not to go out alone etc. Sounds like a nut.

I am not even sure where to start. The city police have not been helpful or aggressive. In fact they keep making it worse by talking to him and giving him info. I did get some suggestions (thanks!), any others would be appreciated as well.

I just unpacked my GFF chicks and I was shocked when I took the lid off the box. 1 blue columbian Brahma and 13 Partridge Barthuhners.

Yup, 13 of those buggers. One didn't make it. Talk about forcing me to move some chicks around. I was expecting maybe 8, you know 6+ but not 13 total chicks.

You can send a few extras to me for a consolation prize for not winning the Barthuhner name contest!

Take all this in front of a judge and file a restraining order. Police departments aren't always known for being impartial (this is sometimes a good thing

). Judges are by virtue of their office required to be.

I'd get a lawyer too, at least for a consultation.

Oh, and document, document, document. What online posts of yours he's shared and with whom, what actions he's taken, dates and types of harrassment and intimidation. Document everything you possibly can, be clear, concise, and as dispassionate as possible. There is no fee for filing a restraining order, and it's a very simple process.
