Hey all, who has coronation sussex that I can do a side swap with? maybe for SQ speckled sussex? I have to hatch some chicks to fill an order for someone and I need to get a few coros. it's a big order so I want to make it happen. Just send me a PM if you have coros and are interested. I would need them shipped around 4/16-4/17. Thanks!

Well, I don't think there will be any more of the RP x GN eggs, except the ones I have collected in the past couple days.....I am pretty sure the little stinker is setting, on either a single egg or two, one being from my RP hen....I so wasn't ready for her to start setting, but I guess she thinks it's time.
Now I am debating on putting my duck eggs under her, once I am sure she is setting.
Has anyone ever let a turkey raise a duck?
lol...I can just see the ducks headed for the pool and her freaking out wondering what they are doing, or the two turkey poults swimming with the ducks.
I don't know what to do....I don't want to waste her set on just two eggs....

They heard they had several orders to go out and I swear they are crossing their legs! Maybe I should try the freezer threat............ so anyway I am NO help there even with 14 hens! I even went out and bought ANOTHER trio last week!

Does anyone use chicken nipples? Do you have to use a closed system? Like, can you just use a bucket without a lid? Or if you get extravagant and do a little plumbing system and have a big rain barrel, does it have to be air tight?
If it is air tight or sealed it creates a vacuum and they won't get any water. We keep our lids snapped almost all the way around, but we leave about a fourth of the lid undone to keep the air pressure moving.

None of you lovely ladies I pal around with here are Cheryl Cohen, are you?

I didn't think so, but wasn't sure. Apparently she and I want the same batch of eggs on another site.

I LOVE mine!! I put them in the bottom of a bucket with an open top and they pick up on it right away.
