I just placed an order for one of the hatchers like Shellie's! Though I have to wait till tax return comes in to make it totally official!

I was always told that if you take your fresh eggs and refrigerate them, you can still hatch them after 14 days in the fridge.  


We've taken month old eggs kept in the fridge and hatched them. First with a broody and twice more with a bator. The broody did 11 out of 16 but I personally think my son was asking too much from her. The next two times we did a dozen each and we got 8 the first and 6 the second. The second incubation was during that horrid heat last summer.

Yes viability goes down, but it's still possible.
 
Aww the Cochins look so happy in their new home. I miss them!

Aren't they sweet!!?? That's why I felt so bad
And had to find them a new home. For some reason my birchen bantam cochin tried fighting the columbian roo and he never does that so it was weird

His name was Doodle Poo while he was here. My husband named our birchen Doodle Do last year, and so my son thought it was super funny to name him Doodle Poo since they looked alike kind of

Those little buggers are so cute you guys! They look like somebody stuck an air hose in a regular chicken and pumped them up. Please don't let me son see them. Oh god they are so cute I might want them.
