They sat in the same 5 foot space playing in the oak leaves today. Must have been good bugs in there

Those are some beautiful cochins! Now I need to find some large fowl cochins that are just as round and fluffy. I seriously want chickens that look like bowling balls with heads.

Soooo... I'm resetting the incubator next Friday or Sat, and I could use some nice eggs to put in that would ship out this Sat or Mon. I'm out of $ for paypal, so if anyone has an excess of anything interesting, feel free to check out my swap page for a side swap! I think the only things I'm really not looking for are ducks (well, I want ducks, but the hubs has voted a big fat no) and bantams. I am a fiber artist, so if you knit or spin, things in my Etsy shop are verrrrry tradeable! See my sig line for links.

I could have went the rest of my life without seeing this pic....I am a Floridiot born and raised and knew immediately that this was taken in Florida, just from the reflection of the trees and yard.
I so miss sand...all we have here is rocks....Sometimes I really want to move back!

and brought home, two very handsome Marans cockerals, who are now wandering around my house because my boys immediately claimed and named them, Ash and Smokey.... and do not want them outside with MY birds! LOL
Oh, my gosh that is funny! Glad the kids are enjoying them, but I'm not sure I would be happy with chickens in the house. I'm guessing they tamed down on the ride over. LOL By the way, these are the same two cockerels that I posted earlier as escaping from their cage into my car on the way to work.

Finally candled eggs. Pulled one exchequer leghorn, one paint silkie, two turkey eggs (one quit and it was pretty far along :( ), two araucanas, three or four orps and a lav split silkie. All in all, not too bad, this was the first candle for all except two sets of turkey eggs. The one set is due in 2-3 days from my girls and still going strong. The second set was midget whites which were at 100% until this one quit. Hopefully I still get a great hatch of turkey poults!
