4:22pm FL space coast is a cold 57 with a 12mph wind off the ocean ( i know i know thats not cold, but for here yes its cold)

I insist on fires in the fireplace at 55

heat is turned on at 60

I shiver at 60 lol

My central heat is set to 60 degrees in the winter!

It is 54 here. I am sitting outside planning my garden. It's still too muddy and cold. I keep wondering if I should do some lettuce, just to have something grow.

Well, I'll be looking for guineas. Someone asked G if I had any for sale. I looked up pics to show G, then did youtube to show him how loud and annoying they were and we looked at each other and said, "that's not bad." Then we started making excuses as to what they might help here and, well, now I need guineas for his friend and for our homestead. Now... anyone local want to pretend to order some emu so I can get him looking at them?! Lol. Actually, I just want a jersey cow and some sheep.

Hope she turns out ok! When I hear swollen face in goats I think bottle jaw but it could be any number of things. Wish I could offer more help.

She died a couple of hours ago.

She was one of my favorites too.... She was just fine one minute and the next she wasn't still not real sure what was wrong. Everyone else seems to be ok. I spent all say trying to make her feel better and help her and I thought when she stood up and was walking around she was gonna pull through, then I went out to check on her again and she was laying on the stall floor dead.

Never had one die on me before or this happen. Are dairy goats more prone to this stuff. Don't want to have to go through this again. What a rotten day, I bottle fed her from when she was just a day old. She was gonna be a yr old in August.
