Honestly I am a first time hatcher and I only pray I get 50%

hatch rate, anything after that is icing on the cake and a huge musical number!!!!

You think I'm kidding don't you!! You should have seen me out in the hen pen when I found out my first egg was not only fertile but GROWING under my broody(9 days left and counting yeay!!!!!!!!!!!!)

It's so bad sometimes my girls will even join in the song he, he, he, then they yell "Mommy we sang we sang too!!"

I shipped The Spoiled Chickens eggs today from my offer on post #5802.

Hopefully they don't take 9 days to arrive like they did last time I sent her eggs! I talked to the PO today and they said she must live in an area with bad storms so that is the reason it took so long. The snow storm that went through here yesterday is probably that direction now. I hope it doesn't mess up this delivery.

I just paid $55 for a dozen eggs they sent 14 and only 4 candled. thankfully all 4 hatched.. i have replaced many eggs for people but, usually nobody does for me. only very few have replaced

My hubby is planning on having my new pens finished this weekend, so I can have everyone sorted and in their own home. But in the meantime, I snapped this picture the other day. It is a pic of a golden cuckoo maran roo and a choc orp. Bear in mind that the golden cuckoo is about a month older than the choc orp.

Ohhhh, that reminds me.... speaking of shipped eggs, I have a spectacular report! Side swap I received 10 pretty little lb cochin eggs.... every stinking one of these are developing!!! Yours are the exception! Thank you!!

Hummmm, it's not thaaaaat far from North Idaho....

You should TOTALLY come!!!!! Might get to go home with a shiny new chicken tractor, automatic coop door, a bunch of fancy chicken and or livestock feed, chicks, nest boxes, incubator...... List goes on!

I have your eggs resting to go into the incubator tomorrow morning. They look great. I love double boxed eggs! Thank you for the extras. Fingers crossed on the hatch for these.

I have to know, what is that cutie? By the way, when you get your spangled don't let him loose in your kitchen. I'm afraid you would never catch him. After all this time on my carport right outside my back door he is still skittish. He must have never been handled or outside a cage in his life.
