Help !! I recieved these today. I'm worried about setting them with the rest of my eggs. They are really really dirty. How do I clean them ?????
You can use a dry sponge to get the dirt off them. It looks like mud? If its mud I would do that if its poo break down and wash them. You will loose the bloom andthat iisn't great for them but neither is poo.

Well I am an idiot.

My daughter has been asking for a duck or two. Today while at the Asian market I saw that they had some. ( have you figured where this is going yet?) The tag said "baby duck eggs". So I bought 5. I got them home and candled them to check the air cells. Imagine my shock when I see that they had been incubated already, and then put in the refrigerated case.

A major mom failure. *sigh*

you want some duck eggs to hatch? or a couple of ducks? lol

We have to wash duck eggs and goose eggs depending on where the girls chose to lay them. VERY WARM water as quickly as possible, no scratchy item like a papertowel to wipe off. If you have Oxine on hand you can wipe the egg down with it after washing. If you dont a quick wipe with ACV does the trick too. Just remember avoid scrubbing, let the water wash the dirt off

Wow, that's all I can say.

More like ewwwwww

Ummmm... put the non dirty ones in and leave the other ones out? some people say you can wash the dirty ones, but i never have.

Well, they aren't pretty, for sure. If you get a dry scrubby pad, you should be able to remove a good bit of that. I wouldn't wet them, though.

Good luck!
