I counted the eggs in my sportsman tonight, and I only have 46 spots left!

What was I thinking?

Are some of those my mystery chicks? My Mr. texted earlier to ask exactly how my birds we currently have.

2 months ago I had 13.
Today I have 81. I'm great at chicken math.

I must be pretty good at chicken math as well. Someone asked DH how many chickens we have. When he replied with 30, I almost fell on the floor laughing. Right there with you...I think I counted 79 in my head.

I asked myself that twice last year. Each time I bought new bator. I have 3 now. At this time, only 1 is running (but it's got lots of goose eggs, and I'm almost out of space now)

Yep herducks part 2. Lol all it's been for me is feed chicks clean brooders turn eggs rinse ad repeat.

  You just smile and agree with him honey.  Once your at 200, tell him you think your up to 55 now.

I need advice. I am supposed to lock down eggs tonight. I don't have much hope for them because they started out in Spike the psychotic incubator. Spike is all I have for lock down as the hova bator is occupied with other eggs. I have been trying to get Spike to a steady temp since Sunday and he just won't cooperate. What do I do? Increase the humidity in the current incubator and hope for the best there? Turn spike down so he is 95 to 100? Please help? Is too cool a workable solution?

Sounds like you need a vacation! Maybe you should pile in with Herducks and the chicks on the train.

If my only options were too high and too low.... go with too low. It will not kill them might delay hatch.
