sounds like lots done, especially after being so sick. Nice job!

At first my body was screaming at me to quit but I usually don't listen. First meal was yummy but first meals after a bout of sickness usually don't sit too well. I'll be so happy to be back to normal.

How long before serama start laying typically? Somewhere said about 16-18 weeks, but that almost seems too soon to me. My little group is at 16 weeks. While I'd LOVE to start seeing eggs soon, I just don't think that's going to be happening anytime in the next two weeks.

I bought my little pullet when she was 16 weeks and a couple weeks or so later she was laying....

UPDATE ON SPRING EGGS OWED.

For those that I owe Spring eggs to. I am finally getting enough Orpington eggs to start sending the Super Orp packages. First one to go out tomorrow.

Legbars are still driving me crazy and not laying again. I get a couple of eggs then we get a cold blast and then nothing again. I will be glad to send another breed or paypal for those of you that I owe Legbar eggs. Please PM me if you want the paypal or another breed.

I got the first two guinea eggs today so I don't think it will be to long of a wait for those couple of people that wanted Spring guinea eggs.

I got my first Seb egg yesterday from my pen that has the male & female from Celtic Oaks Farms and another Splash female. I put it in the incubator and

hoping that it's fertile. My problem with Stimich (the male) is he thinks my husband and I are the ones he is suppose to mate with. I have never had a gander that got that mixed up.

He does not hurt us just follows us around and jumps on our feet if he gets a chance.

I think Shellie imprinted on him..

He has only been doing this for the last few days so hopefully he figures out why the girls are following him around.

Now the bad news. We are under another Blizzard watch for tomorrow night. I guess that will put the birds into another spin of not laying.

on first eggs!!! Oh and uumm sorry on Stimlich's love affair lol. He use to sit in my lap and is rather human bonded. Give him a few more weeks of two girls wanting him and he will get better.

That first egg is fertile. Oh and carry a broom in his pen and push him away with it when he tries to woo you. Will help him learn you arent his.


Cleaned all of the kennels, shuffled birds around and cleaned the brooder house top to bottom today. Every floor stall in the brooder house has babies in it again, luckily they ship out this week again too. Oh and our Momma goat is all bagged up and looked like she was having contractions this evening.

she has this baby soon, tired of waiting lol.

We had another rabbit deliver too, big litter of babies all doing well so far. Our Flemish is still 10 for 12 on her babies!

Did anyone else get the email from RBA that they're now going to charge everyone a fee to be a member on the site? That stinks! I guess that is going to put my stalking on hold...

Well I called PP and now they denied my claim because it is live birds and they don't cover live birds. I emailed the seller and told them I lost another birds and sent proof of a photo and they said it wasn't there problem.

So pp told me if I go to my bank and file a Merchandise complaint my account won't get shut down. Only if I file a unautorized charge.

RBA hasn't gotten back to me on the feedback nor have they removed the sellers feedback, so I am done with that site. They were the ones who told me to leave the seller negative feedback. If I was getting it in return I would have never left it.

So pretty much looks like I don't get any kind of justice.

So I paid $160 for 4 birds. Seeing how 3 died and 2 are not the color I was supposed to get. The rest are sick.

Well at least it was a nice day out today and I got to clean some more coops today and trim the Goats hoofs.

I claimed some Sebastopol eggs last September from crazypetlady and I've been unable to get a response from her? I emailed her about a week ago and she's been online since but did not respond to my PM. Any ideas? Our Sebbie season is winding down so I'd like to get my eggs (4 of them) ASAP so I can brood all of the goslings at once.

I a wiped out. Got a bit done though. The dog kennel is finally gone from the dining area!!! That's where the fodder system is going....eventually. I have serama eggs in lockdown. Yeah! I just listed some Black Bresse birds on RBA. Double yeah! Not too bad of a day really.

Yes, just got it - 3 dollars for bidders. The fee will be for a verification process to make sure you don't have multiple user names. When they ask me for my fee - I will just decline and go away. There are plenty of people here on BYC that have eggs for the birds I like - I don't need rare breeds right away to be happy. I can wait until they aren't as rare.. and get them then.

I am sorry this is such a mess. Interesting that PayPal doesn't cover live birds, good to know for the future. I would definitely file a merchandise complaint. The "merchandise" was damaged before shipment and not as described... Maybe don't say anything about alive....

Something that struck me as odd in one of his replies.. do you have any way to have the dead chicks tested for anything more severe than cocci and mites? His comment about your whole flock getting sick just struck me as really weird. Maybe if you find something you can turn him into the state for shipping birds if they have something severe enough for the state to be interested in... that might get some justice and shut him down?

It was a lovely day here too - I got another pen almost finished for some new birds I just picked up yesterday - I couldn't pass up a deal so I had to get them.. shuffle birds - rethink plans.. but I have ones I really want now so I am happy!
