The secretary at work plays WOW and I have "lost" a number of friends to it over the years (not really...they usually show back up again eventually, bleary eyed into the light with Cheetos in their hair like Penny in big bang theory.) so I have a working knowledge of it even though I've never played it.

It isn't that I don't like games...I just need a tangible product at the end of any expenditure of energy that I can look at and see that my time has been recorded for posterity. lLike a decorated egg, or a sweater, or a chicken coop. It is a need, not an optional thing. It is a compulsion that makes me itch in my seat if it isn't satisfied.

I love board games where you can drink wine and actually sit across the table from the people you are playing with and see them while I knit a few rows between one turn and the next. (And hopefully the wine isn't too much of a dominant gene that expresses in the knitting.)

Well it looks like all my 80's are gone. Since the last hacking. Do I try and fight to get them back... or start over? it really was more fun at the lower levels....

No wonder I like you. Muggles think I'm weird when I bring knitting to a board or card game! Or a departmental meeting.....but something productive has to come out of those meetings, and it's the only way it'll ever happen! And during exams. Many semesters, finals means a new sweater, as I knit while I proctor. Not this semester, though.

I'm with you 100% of the way. I can't get super into video games of any kind ive never even owned a gaming station. like a game cube or whatever.
I'm I'm not joking when I say wow is the only video game I've ever played.
Even then I play for like a month and take like a 4-5 month break. Never did any raids or anything. Don't even think I was Ina guild . . . On any of my chars.

I much prefer table top gaming. Dnd pathfinder war hammer ect.

You could ask for them back. They gave me my Priest "Cooties" back after I deleted her by mistake. I do have a bit more fun questing at lower level though too.
