I am not sure what it was, but there were little white tiny bugs in the broody's nest box today. so I freaked and pulled out all the hay I could from the entire coop and put down a thick layer of wood ash instead.

I looked her over and found nothing. should I be doing anything else? DH said he could pick something up for me tomorrow if I told him what to get...

Airedale terrier X something is her official breed lol.

She's actually afraid of or afraid of hurting the chicks I think because she wines when she hears them peeping or when I put them near her. She is getting better though as I make them snuggle when I do stuff around the house.

We had an Airedale Shepherd cross when we were first married...really smart and nice dog. Wanted to please us...which was so cool combined with the smart part. Most smart dogs are constantly trying to see what they can get away with. Not her. you would tell her not to do something once or twice and she'd never do it again.

and she learned on her own that if we put her toys into this plastic basket that we would take her with us. so when she saw us getting ready to go somewhere, she started putting her toys into her basket herself and then sitting politely next to the basket looking at us expectantly. it worked a lot.

aww!! Thats cute putting away her toys! Abby runs to the door whenever i grab my purse lol. Aprently the purse means business

Yea she is really good about listening to me like i never put her on a leash only have to call her once but it seems with anyone else she walks all over them. My BF for example cant keep her in line no matter what he does if Im not there to back it up.
the weirdest thing is i didn't train her to be like that its just how she came, i picked her up one day laid out the rules in the car ride home and boom best dog ever (well aside from one shoe chewing incident). The people i got her from even said they actually got rid of her because she was causeing to much trouble.
i think its because she knows i have a zero tolerance screw up once your gone policy for humans and pets.
