i wish I could get more then 1 hatching at a time. I only had 2 make it to lockdown this time and only 1 has hatched so far. He will be happier tomorrow when I put him in brooder with the 1 week old chick. This one is very silvery looking. It was shrink wrapped and i had to help it, but it still has bits of membrane on it. 1 over a wing and 1 over 1 eye. Any idea on how to help? Or is it best to leave it be and let it fall off on its own.

I had this happen on a hatch where we had issues with the incubator. I washed them under a stream of warm water at my kitchen sink with a small amount of Dawn dish soap rinsed well, towel dried a little, and put back in the incubator. They all did great.

A toothbrush helps too.

I usually give mine a quick warm bath, then towel dry them and blow dry and back in the bator with them.

Having so much fun on this pp egg swap thread. Just claimed some guinea eggs so I could hatch them for a friend. If I don't watch myself, I'd be claiming duck and goose eggs next.

I even created my own swap page today, lol!

I'm working on mine, too, I find myself looking at stuff all over the house as possible swap items, lol...
