What if someone gets stuck overnight and it causes them to hit the 24 hour limit we give them a 3 hour credit? That would be easier to keep track of. Or give a 3 hour credit every day to the person who is up the longest the night before?

I think the 24 hrs. already allows for getting caught overnight once. However, I can see giving a 3 hr credit for each subsequent night the same swapper gets caught overnight.

Something like the credit is a nice thought - especially for newer swappers so they don't get discouraged. Maybe a reminder to try changing their offer a bit can also keep the thread moving at night. I am very willing to check the swap thread in the middle of the night, but that's just me.

I have another idea which may help keep us from having to roll back offers for swappers who have reached the 24 hr. mark. By the time most swappers reach the 24 hr. mark (only partly due to overnight hours) most of our most active swappers have been eliminated because they used up all their swaps in the first couple of days. What if, when a swapper reaches the 24 hr. mark, we let those who have reached their 7 swap limit for the week claim the offer if they wish to. After all, everyone else has had plenty of time to claim it if they wanted to. Give them say an hour or 2 to do so before the offer is rolled back.

You know what I like about most of the swappers on this thread? They want everyone to have fun, and to be included. There is so little off-putting behavior - even when there are disagreements, they are resolved quickly, and the swap moves on. I sincerely hope no one leaves with hard feelings, as from what I've observed, most problems are one of communication. There is little in the way of purposeful trouble-making. Everyone currently on is doing their best to play by the rules.

Im really not seeing an issue with the overnight swapping. If someone puts up something really spiffy at midnight, its probably going to be taken. If someone puts up something at midnight that has already been put up over and over and over, it might not get taken until the next day. I don't see where its any different where someone offers something during the day and it sits for 6 to 8 hours. Put a $30 paypal up at 2 am and see how long it sits.

The more complicated this is made, the less people will want to join in.

Also realize that going into winter, things are really going to slow down here. People won't have as many eggs to offer, and many many people dont want a house full of chicks that they can't put outside for 3 months.

? since I'm trying to be a new swapper, If CPL listed spring eggs for hedemora's and I took them and offered 15$ paypal or OE do I have to wait till spring to swap or because I for filled my end I would still get to swap?
