I have chicks hatching out every where tonight in the hova bator i have kraftyladies fust bounceing around in their 5 hatched still waiting on more and them in the refrigerator incubator i have more chicks hatching....

I hatched 3 rhodebar hens out of 3 eggs tonight!! and 3 NJ out of 3!!!. I hope tomorrow goes as well I have 3 Tolbunts and 4 CCL from Madamwolf internally pipped!!

I also hatched 4 black heritage turkeys today and have Nargassnatts due in 2 days along with some more ducks!! and it's a non-stop hatching weekend coming up MFL, RIR More CCL, Serama, Silkies, Ameracanas and more I am forgetting. oh yeah OEGB and more silkies!!!

Here are this week's current standings as of 12:00AM, Wed. Nov. 7. For all potential new swappers, we welcome your participation, but please read the rules on page 1, post #1 of this thread.

Game #1 - Whenever someone goes over 7 swaps, they lose 2 swaps the following week. The first person to catch it and post "Jinx"- (name of person going over), gets an extra swap in the current week. If crazypetlady (CPL) goes over, everyone gets an extra swap that week, and the first person to catch her and post "Jinx-CPL" gets a special prize of eggs from CPL. Start stalking!

New Game! #2 - Whoever claims the 50th, 75th, and 100th swap of the day (yes, I think we will get up that high this spring or before) will win an extra wild card swap to be used in the winner's week of choice.

Congratulations to coldupnorth for catching CPL going over the 7 swap limit today. She will receive special mystery eggs, and everyone else gets an extra swap this week!

OK, let me see if I can explain this better. Below is a list of the new swappers that still have to complete their initial 7 swaps, so are limited to one swap at a time until each one is verified. Once you have been cleared by crazypetlady, reesepoultry, kraftyladies, or coffeekittie for another swap, you may claim another, regardless of what my list says. I don't keep track of whose swaps have been verified, just the swappers that need to have that done. My list is only published once a night, but your swapping status may change a few times during the day. Once all of your 7 initial verified swaps are completed, your name will be moved to the big list. I may not have everyone's name here that is already swapping, but all new swappers will be added here until I hear differently. As long as all your previous swaps have been completed and verified, you are good to go! Happy swapping!

Im interested and think that it would be easy and helpful it u did it like the monthly mystery swap.....I dont know if u had me down on the list but i want in..
I wish I could but I run an x-mas tree lot and will be MIA from Thanksgiving to X-mas - working 13 hour days. Have fun!

Yeah, I'm nervous about my turkey eggs that are coming. I really appreciate the tips offered so far, and am researching hard and fast -- but I'll take any information/input anyone has to offer on how to hatch turkey poults successfully!

Oh man! Probably a lot! Hahaha What kind of eggs do you have? Are they made of gold? Plus, I don't think a yak calf will fit in a flat rate box... though they are usually around 35 lbs when born, so they aren't over the domestic weight limit! It's just cramming it in there that's the problem...

We just talk chickens on here, no politics allowed. It causes flaired tempers and we like it mellow and happy.

I'm trying my hand at hatching turkey eggs. as if I need anymore right now. I gotta get DH to take the grow pens into the garage so I can get them ready for chicks that feather out. I cleaned them up when the last of the quail where processed I just need to cover the screened bottom and insulate the inside for drafts. He built it great. I have placed in the top to hook heat lamps and they don't come off so they're safe and the roof has hinges so it raises up I just have to come up with a better prop. I bumped the stick I use to prop the lid up and it came crashing down on top of my head and it's heavy. I was seeing stars and doing my best to stay lucid.

I already have the quail in the garage with straw bedding and a dim light so they don't go crazy laying eggs but still can see to eat and drink and do their thing and NOT lay any eggs.
