My first generation away from GFF have started laying, and I can only describe these eggs as green. I guess my roo has a brown egg gene in him.

Now my egg basket is going to have SIX colors in it. Yeah, thanks a lot, CJ.

should you get more!!!!

I don't think I have ever heard that question spoken here -- at least I have NEVER, EVER heard/seen the answer being a "no"

I am not one to buck tradition -- so Of Course
YOU SHOULD GET MORE

(still laughing at the thought of a "no")

Thanks for confirming what I thought should be a YES too! :D
Although my story goes like this:
It took me over a year to convince my husband to let me have chickens. Told him only 6 hens and a Roo. I'm now 8 months into raising 6 breeds totaling 24 chickens and 2 turkeys! We built a 6x8 chicken coop, then another one larger for breeding, and now have a 16x30 palace with individual rooms just for them!

If he hasn't figured out how this goes by now... lol!

A roo and a hen, perhaps?
It looks like the little one also have less wing feather development, unless it is just the picture. I had a D'uccle not develop for some reason a few years ago. It was day old sized at 4 weeks we eventually culled it cuz the feathers also did not develop. I never found out what caused it, but have heard of others with this same problem. The chick seemed healthy other than that. Very odd.
