Dumb, dumb, dumb.

For the record, four of my five turkey eggs from WVstruttin were clearly developing nicely, as were five of my eight NHs from John. (The others might have been, too - those were just the verifiables at six days). Turned 'em this morning, but I don't have a good feeling about this. I'll candle again at day 10. In the meantime, I might have to get more eggs!

I'm unsupervised all winter.

It will be easy to grow out chicks and have them in the flock before he has time to notice!

I asked this question prior - but I didn't get a definitive answer so I'm trying again. I joined in September, but I don't know the exact date, because I didn't make a post until I'd been here "lurking" for a while...so I don't know the exact *date and day* I joined - only the month.

Should I contact admin to find this out? Three months would be from the day you joined, three months later, correct? Or - could December 1st be three months since it's the third month from the month I joined? Sigh. LOL

I am New here to, and I just assumed three months was from your first swap... Not just the day I found the thread or posted. I could be very wrong though...



I had a question about hatchery stock. Currently I don't have any hatchery stock, and some of my birds have pretty good body type... But I was thinking about buying a whole bunch of black frizzled bantam Cochins from a hatchery, and culling through them to get some more breeders. Has anyone had any luck with hatchery stock? Or should I continue to build my flock from locals and hatching eggs? My mom asked me what I wanted or christmas, and I told her I wanted a gift certificate for Murray Mcmurray, but now I am doubting That's goin to work for me.
Anyone have any good quality birds from a big hatchery? Like if I where to by 30 black bantam Cochins, would I have a chance
To get some good stock?
