I joked about having an extra incubator hidden.. he just looked at me. He's been so great building coops and pens and whatnot. He's such a good guy. I got really lucky with him.

Found out last night that we're going to be grandparents for the second time. I can't believe how cool it is to be a grandma. Who woulda thought?

They'll be okay, I think. At least they'll be resting rather than thrown around..

It wouldn't matter, holiday or not. Express mail in or out of here takes 4 days. Don't worry about it. I know a lot of people that have hatched eggs that were two weeks or more. I think the shipping stress or heat is much worse than the age. If you think about it, a broody hen will come back with 15 or 16 chicks from a nest she has hidden out.
