Don't now, but I did. Don't believe all the hype about parasite resistance. If anything, they are more susceptible than any other breed I've ever had! On retrospect, it makes sense that they have no resistance; they come from a place with low parasite numbers simply because they have the winters to kill them off. I'm in NC. We don't have such winters.

Hmmm, I figured there was gonna be some serious cons...and I live in FL, so definitely not enough hard winter to kill off parasites.... Well, off to do more research.

Breeding season has begun for me. Lights have been on my birds for 2 weeks now. I should be able to offer eggs soon.

Picked up my incubator today. It is still in the truck so I couldn't take an actual picture. There is something not quite "right" with the way the "what ever it is" in the upper Right Corner (inside) so if anyone could tell me what this part is called, I will just order a new part. I looked on Dickey's incubator site and they have replacement parts, but I need to know what it is called. Any help for the incubator challenged would be appreciated.....

Great find!! Upgrade to an acrylic door when you can. You can call Mr. Dickey and he can tell you what it is. He is always willing to help.

At first I was considering hair sheep, but then decided shearing might not be so bad...

Not sure I'm going to add any sheep yet, thinking about the duck route again for the dogs herding...maybe ancona ducks this time I had runners before but they are too flighty in temperament and too fragile IMO.
