my ambient air temp reads 99.5 on all 3 different digital thermometers, but when i temp gun my eggs directly they are 102+. Should I be worried?

Have you calibrated your three digitals? If not, yes, I'd be worried.

Ok. Maybe your temp gun is off then. I wouldn't worry in that case. Not sure how you'd calibrate a temp gun.
