Well her umbilical area herniated. her intestines are popped out . I tried to put more neosporin on it and wrap her back up but she can wiggle out of every one of my contraptions. I am trying to give her a little water/sugar water every few hours.. I dunno what else to do. She is making it very difficult to help her. However she is very strong and dispite her injury tries really hard to stand.
I think it is out of my hands now, I have been praying that her hernia sucks back in, until then I am just trying to keep her as comfortable as I can.
I applaud you for trying! It dosen't sound good. As you probably already know the little chick won't survive with the intestines outside the body. It just one of those that shouldn't of hatched!
She passed earlier today. We have all been very upset. She was a very pretty little EE baby, and is now all fluffy and full of life chasing grasshoppers in chicken heaven thanks for everyones concern
