Hatching experiment

So I thought i would record the experiment and share it with you guys. I was inspired by another youtuber doing this to, to see if any store bought quail eggs would hatch. I'm not expecting any really but thought it would be fun to try.

I just did a similar thing but my incubation setup was not good enough for them to hatch out. Out of ten eggs 6 started to develope, one getting quite far along before quitting. Im going to build a better incubator and retry this spring when I get my chickens.

Quail kept for eggs are, I believe, often kept with a rooster or two to maintain healthy flock dynamics. Probably explains the occasional fertile egg in a grocery store.
Or those quail have developed parthenogenesis and nobody knows yet, but that seems fairly unlikely.
