Are you going to try known fertile quail eggs?
Probably next spring. I have to get the coop fully fixed. This year I lost almost 50 quail due to predators. I built two different coops including one being a tractor. I've gotten rid of 2 feral cats and 3 possums. They kept popping the staples to the fencing or grabbing then through the fence and eating them
 
Use hardware cloth, predators can't reach through it, and put the staples on the inside so the predators can't yank them out. Some screws in addition would be good.

I agree.
I use big washers with screws over my hardware cloth in addition to stapling the crap out of it.

Oh yeah, that'll do the trick! Especially if fastened on the inside so it can't be pulled on. Just let any raccoon try and yank that off.
Half-inch hardware cloth works against large predators, but I'd suggest 1/4" cloth, as that will keep out mice (which eat feed and spread disease) and small snakes (can eat eggs and stress your quail).
