hatching faverolles chicks

This is my second hatch, and yes I plan to vaccinate all the chicks I hatch. We purchased 4 chickens from a breeder and then lost a hen because his chickens were sick. I thought I was going to loose them all. Still have a sick chicken, I have been dealing with this for the last 3 months. I went ahead and vaccinated even my adult chickens when I vaccinated the last hatch. I am pretty sure my chicken that is still sick has mareks. We had the state come out and take samples from the sick chickens we bought. None of them tested positive for anything reportable, but there are so many diseases they can get that aren't reportable and they don't check for. I'm just not willing to chance losing any more chicks. It was a really horrible experience. I purchased my hatching eggs after I thought all my chickens were "well" again. If I had known any of them were still sick, I would have waited on hatching out new chicks. I also plan to vaccinate for new castle/bronchitis before putting them with my current flock. Right now we are practicing biosecurity measures to try not to expose our new chicks to the other chickens. New chicks are in the house and when I have to do anything with my chickens outside, I shower afterward.
I have a feeling I am going to show some favoritism toward my faverolles chicks as well. LOVE their fuzzy faces!

I have done some looking around but am curious where you get your Mareks vaccines from. I will be hatching babies this spring and would really like to vaccinate them.

You will love the faverolles! We have one rooster, and 4 hens. They are all very sweet, and good layers. I'm thinking our chick is a hen, but not 100%. Our next hatch date is the 26-27. We put them in in the afternoon, so could go either day. We have a few faverolles, & the rest are mixes. They will be 1/2 fav., and 1/2 either ameraucana, buff Orpington, and even a bantam brahma and bantam silver laced Wyandotte. Can't wait to see what we get. Hopefully a better success rate than our last. Any mor pics yet? How are the feet looking?

Hi,
Did your chick turn out to be female? I think I have 2 males, one female. They are a week old today.

Yep, that looks like mine. Good thing she is a hen, because I'm very attached now. She gets lots of cuddle time because she is the only one. Hopefully next thurs or Friday we will have some more. She is pretty lonely. She really wants to fly. It is so cute
