Hatching for Valentine's Day???

Day 3. It seems like time is ticking by slowly on PURPOSE.

On Valentines Day, unlike most people, I'm going to be sitting in front of my incuabtor, fussing with my brooder like crazy. But don't get me wrong! I'm patient!

Me too!! I have 12 silkies from BamaChicken due on valentine's, plus 2 from my own silkies, and one OEGB pullet egg, just for fun!

Add me to the Valentines hatching list. I got 16 eggs from silkieluver_07 in my bator. Went in Sat. evening. I think most of them are Silkies, maybe a rosecomb or two and 1 Buff Orp eggie.

This is only my 3rd attempt at hatching. They havent gone so well, but think I am getting better.

The first one I set 42 eggs, most died just before hatching, 5 hatched, but only 1 lived (still have it, even if I dont know what kind it is lol). Second hatch was 27 eggs and 17 hatched, 3 didnt make it though. The 14 are currently in my juvie pen.

These eggs weren't shipped, so I am hoping for decent results.

Well I candled

, I know probably waaay too early BUT I couldn't help it! So In 2 or 3 eggs there is a yolk and a small mass on the side of the yolk, but I didn't see any veins yet. I am not sure about the others, but I will try again at the end of the week!

I could not resist your honor I know the big book of chicken rules says day 7 but I had to look.
