Hatching from beyond the Grave

We have a baby!!! The other one passed away and was upside down sadly. But this little miss is here! I think her daddy is the dark bantam Cochin for sure with the feathered legs. What do you guys think?

Also, advice on raising a solo chick? I have a chick order from Hoover’s that is supposed to get here 3/10 but that’s 2 weeks without a buddy for this one. Is it ok to just add a stuffed toy and interact with her a lot to keep her happy until the new chicks get here?

Ps it was a fun baby night! Also delivered this cute little girl around 2am

Sorry about your hen and the possible quitters. :hugs

Lovely lady and eggs! :love

One of my favorite incubation resources has failure analysis according to which day they quit starting around page 52..

Incubation guide

And another resource..

Hatchability Problem

:fl:jumpy:jumpy
I just finished absorbing the info in the incubation guide paper. This is brilliantly written.
