hatching geese eggs

I had an LG, thing drove me nuts... too much temp variation. I returned it twice because it just got too cold and once it did the heating cycle it got too hot, so I had actually 3 I tried woking with. I ended up replacing it with a few Hovabators and never had more than a degree or two variation. Once I outgrew the Hova's, hubby built me a cabinet incubator and a hatcher (don't have to mess with raising and lowering humidity, each one does only 1 job). I am also not currently employed so I hope my hatch rate improves as well.

Set another 18 pilgrims tonight. I always try to use one for incubating and one for hatching. About 5 years ago I got 12 of the lg 10200 for $20 each. A feed store going out of busniess.

Addicting is the word. It seems like every time I hear about eggs close to me. I have to give them a try. UGH'''''''''''''

LOL, y'alls crazy. I worry about if Im going to sell them every month and every month Ive hatched Ive managed to sell them before the next hatch comes. I sold the last lot when they were 2 weeks old and the hatc h before that at 3 weeks old. Its not that I dont have the room or the money to feed them all but good lord knowing my luck if I filled a bator or 2 (if i had 2) every month guaranteed I would end up with ducklings of all ages and I would end up keeping them all if they didnt sell.

been hatching constantly for almost 3 months. been selling all my ducklings before 10 days old. most 5 days or less they are hotcakes here this time of year. i already have someone wantingto buy these goslings that havent hatched yet lol. and they want eggs too. still waitingfor my chinese to lay they have been mating like crazy last 3 days so i think they feel at home lol. been chowing down real good too.

I think for some reason this year I could sell all pilgrim goslings that are hatched. I see all the hatcherys are out of them.

Woo-hoo! Set the sebbies tonight. So I have 4 Sebs and 1 other in there. The duck egg seller fell through so i guess I don't have to worry about that part now. I did scrub the worst of the muck off of them but a couple are still really dirty - is this really ok? And we are talking 30 days for Sebs, yes? So that makes hatch day 5/5, that sounds like so far away!
