i have 3 duck eggs in a Janoel incubator. I am not a 100 percent on my first date, but I believe it to be May 1 or 2 I first put them in a bucket with a heat lamp. I received my incubator on the 4th and transferred the eggs. I basically candled the eggs every day, and all looked great. On May 26th I put them on lock down, but I set them small side down in an egg carton with the bottom cut out for ventilation. I did this because I was going out of town on the 28th and had to take the eggs with me. They rode in the car with the incubator on for 6 hours. I put a flash light on them upon arrival and all three were alive.
As of today, they have not hatched.
I checked them today and know for sure 2 were alive, but no signs of hatching.
Will they still hatch this late, do I need to do anything?? So worried!!!!

I would start counting days incubated from when they were put in your store bought incubator. making tomorrow day 28. Chickens at least when they start going broody don't stay on the eggs all day at first the inconsistent heating slows them down. If your home made bucket incu. had inconsistent heating it could be that they were maybe only a day ahead. give them extra time just in case. taking them for a car ride was fine (I've done it too.) hope you get some babies in a few days. :fl

Is it ok I transferred them to an egg carton and they are still there? I really wish I could stop worrying!!

When did you candle last? A day or two before hatch, the air cell will draw down when the duckling gets into hatching position. It will look different than it did thru incubation. Not just lower dip on one side, but the air cell changes shape. When that happens, it's a good indication that they are close to hatch.

They are upright in the carton so I just put the flashlight on top of the egg. It looks like a white circle on top. One egg I maybe see slight movement. I did not see movement in one, and I have one that is further behind and it is moving. I still see the veins in this one and it is not quite filled up with as much darkness. I don't know if I need to remove them from the carton or leave them alone. I used the carton at lock down because I had to travel with them and did not want them to break.
What temp in C and what humidity do you recommend?

On my third one, should I be turning it until it looks like your picture..... is this picture when you know you need to stop turning it for sure?
