hatching humidity

This is the first time I have used an incubator. I have always had a setting hen to do the work. I can't find the paperwork from the incubator and I don't remember the level of humidity for hatching. Can somebody tell me what the humidity should be? I'm on day 18. I took the eggs from the turner this morning. The humidity is 50%. I had a temperature drop due to lack of electricity 10 days ago. I know this will affect the hatch. I'm hoping I get some chicks from this batch. I can't candle most of the eggs as they are EE's and the shells are just too dark. The ones I can see have a large air cell.

The drop you should be ok,hens get off to eat. Now the high temp. is a killer.

Something to remember if you dont have a fan in your incubator. 101 top of egg.
Removing them from the turner placing them on the botten,check that temp. at the top of the egg



Humidity 65 would be ok the last to days

I know I couldn't see through my EE eggs when i was candling either, not even an air cell in most cases. Definitely keep the humidity at least 60%, a bit higher is definitely better. Good luck and make sure to post some pics when you have your babies!
