We have a newly hatched chick who has damaged her beak / comb during unzipping. She has a small amount of blood on her comb so I know the skin is broken. Should I be bathing this? And if so what is best to use please. ? - I am new to chicken raising and want to get this right. She pipped early ( day19) at wrong end of egg but following advice read on this site I kept my patience and she hatched out without assistance on day 22 but her beak was frantically pecking through her pip hole for two days without progress, which is how I think she damaged herself. Please advise thank you.

You bet. Chickens heal really well with no assistance usually. If they have a bad injury or cut I use a mix of cbd oil and triple antibiotic ointment. But the little guys usually just need a little time for their body to make repairs. I wish you well.

Thanks for the reassurance.
