I've got 4 Muscovy eggs on day 29 in the incubator and I noticed two of them wiggling. I removed the automatic turner and checked back about a half hour later and one of the wigglers moved a couple of inches and had spun around 180 degrees to point in the opposite direction I left it in and I can see it actively wiggling now. I don't see any internal pipping yet, but should I put them into lockdown now? There's a small chance my Welsh drake could be the father, so is it possible it could hatch a few days earlier than the others? Will it negatively affect the other eggs if they go into lockdown now? It's my first time incubating so any help is super appreciated!!!

Wiggling is normal, it's the baby moving inside. If you've ever put your hands on a pregnant woman's belly and felt the baby kick, that's the same thing.

Don't put them in lockdown and keep doing what you're doing! Obviously, it's going well!

If your Welsh Harlequin is the father they will hatch early. I had that happen under a broody. If you do get an early internal pip lock down then. Be patient it can take a couple days between internal pip to zip.

Thank you!!

Oh, they're hybrids? That's different, they certainly can hatch early. Hmmm, in that case, yeah, check for internal pips. Might want to stop turning if the air sac has really descended.
