One of our 3 duck eggs have broken through their shell today. Their hatch date is Wednesday. His bill is out of the shell. How long can it take to hatch from this point.

I've only hatched 2 duck eggs, 1 took almost 8 hours to come out of the shell, the other took 21 hours.

Hope you're going to share photos :)

It can take 24-48 hours from pip to hatch on ducks, just be patient.

I posted a thread on the Incubating and Hatching forum with pictures.
Could someone please look at it and let me know if everything look ok.
There was a smell today that wasn't there yesterday.

The duck egg that zip his break through the shell has not hatched yet. He has his bill and foot out but not much further. He broke through the shell with his bill early yesterday morning. Should I help him out?

I sprayed the eggs and put some wet cotton balls in the incubator. He has been poked through the shell since yesterday morning. The pictures are on the other thread in the incubating and hatching forum.

Make the membrane wet (I see white color) and cover the eggs with wet towel and keep this way (don't open often the incubator). You can try to help by peeling very little and if there is blood immediately stop and wait 4 hours to try again. Keep the membrane wet to help the ducky or put the cotton balls next to the membrane.Be patient and close monitor the hatching.
