I've been watching all the hatching threads, intent on waiting until St. Patricks day to put eggs in my homade bator, but I gathered all these nice eggs over the last 2 days and, well...

I have purebred RIR's and BR's in there, and hazel and iris have some in there too, along with mixes of blue andalusion, SSH, and white and light brown leghorn.

Yippee! Scarlett's gonna be a mommy! Those will be some beautiful, dark RIR babies.

I'm putting a short 2 x 4 under one end, then swapping it under the other end when its time to turn.

    Crude, but effective.

Yes, its a 48 qt cooler.
It has a single bulb for heat controlled by a water heater thermostat and has a seperate hard wired computer fan for constant air circulation.

People tend to think I'm fibbing when I tell them I get consistant temps with a water heater thermostat, but heres a pic at 99.4*
