Hatching Party! Wanna Join?! Set 8/7, Hatching 8/27!!

Lacey wouldn't let me see a thing. I felt under her gently and only counted 4 eggs and when she stood a bit, I didn't see any pips in those. I also didn't see the 5th egg that had the pip either-or its shell. I think I heard a chick peep a couple of times so she must have that baby hidden somewhere up under her. Why don't broody hens come with a window?

Now I'm just worried.

Sooo funny! This is exactly how I felt on my first and second hatch :0 My third hatch went into lockdown yesterday so we'll see if I get all crazy again. I'm sure I will! We ended up with only 2 EE eggs, 3 shipped eggs and one showgirl mix egg left in lockdown. As long as two hatch to keep eachother company I'll be happy. No more shipped eggs from out of state for me!! They never do well

Good luck to everyone who has pips already!!! Let the fun begin!

Hope you get some babies! We have 2 hatching right now. I took 2 from the nest nobody was sitting on and put them in an incubator. Both are hatching. So excited!!!
Have quail eggs that are due to hatch Tuesday. I hope most of those hatch too.

Good luck.

yes this is exactly how I felt the first time I saw a chick hatch...last Christmas eve was my first hatch and I was 40 before I ever saw a chick hatch! I was screaming like a little girl! And this is my third hatch and I am still as excited.

Lockdown is on Monday for me and I am so excited for y'all I look on here every 5 mins to see who has hatched...pics please..y'all killing me

I went out to check Lacey again and this time she had the egg with the pip pushed up front. The chick hasn't made any progress since 8:30 last night. It cheeped at her when she stood up. 12 hrs seems like an awfully long time, but I don't want to mess with anything. Oh the stress!
