The chick is still alive and moving a bit in the shell. It mostly sleeps but certainly will move around. It does respond to a light tap on the bator (I hate doing that too much!) I haven't untucked it's head yet because it seems to be breathing ok.

The other 2 have not pipped yet.

I know they are still alive as I can see movement in the shell.

Thanks so much for asking...

OK, I took Luv's suggestion and untucked his little head so I'm sure he can breathe. He is breathing well...he even peeped once!! But he is still keeping his eyes closed. I put a warm wet washcloth inside a 1 gallon ziplock bag and layed him inside (inside his shell)...of course I left the top open!! This way he won't dry out...

Sorry Gator I just got the PM looks like you have done a pretty good job with the situation. I would just let him come out of the shell, hopefully he done has. From the looks of the pic I think by morning you should have pips, its just a bit more blood than you will see at hatching. I am refering to the other eggs when they may or should hatch, what date and time did U set these eggs??

OMG...I just checked my hatching book and these eggs were set at 6:00 pm on 6/5. That means they aren't even due until tomorrow!! How stupid of me...

Now I really feel like a schmuck for possibly killing this chick.

I have made the best neonatal intensive care unit that I know how with the ziplock bag and warm, wet washcloth. The chick is still breathing and moving around a tad...not a lot. Giving it LOTS of humidity and prayers...
