hatching quail eggs for the first time

Don't panic yet! It very well may be the calm before the storm. I have often seen eggs go through a period of stillness right before pipping. There are no set rules about movement from egg to egg. I have had eggs rock wildly and hatch after an egg that never noticeably wiggled at all. Just don't open the bator yet! Nothing you can do either way. If they quit then you can't revive the dead. If they are alive, opening it could change that. :hugs Take a deep breath, walk away or better yet, get out and do something distracting. Watch a movie or whatever you enjoy. Fretting won't get them to hurry. Trust me- I've tried that. ;)

I just realized that they shouldn't be wiggling at all yet, I got my eggs on the 2nd and put them in later that night, ;___; i got a feeling they're all gonna die and I'm going to cry.

What species of quail? Corturnix? They Corturnix period is 16-17 days. At day 15 today, you aren't hugely ahead of schedule. And if you do lose them, things happen. You can't beat yourself up over every lost chick. If I did, I would be crazy by now. :hugs

they are corturnix. they are still wiggling every once an awhile so im hoping with all my heart that they hatch!

I have one egg pipping but no peeping. I noticed a small hairline crack on the egg but its not peeping at all, is that normal for it to be so quiet.

Little baby still has not came out of the egg. Maybe they are to weak and that's why their not peeping

Some chicks are noisy, some aren't. It doesn't mean they are weak. My quail weren't noisy when they pipped. The fact that they pipped is great! It may take a full day for them to finish their business and hatch, but so far so good! Calm down! Whatever you do, don't help! Intervention too soon is fatal. They know what they are doing.
